I’ve loved cowboy boots my whole life. The look, the function, all of it. My feet never quite agreed. Years of chronic foot pain finally pushed me to shoes shaped like actual feet, wide in the toes and flat underfoot. The relief I found changed how I judge every shoe I buy.
Then my son got his first pair of cowboy boots. He loved them. He looked great in them. They went on and off easy, which helps when your toddler never sits still. But every time he wore them I saw the same narrow toe and raised heel it took me years to walk away from, now on feet that are still forming.
So I went looking for a better pair and found a hole in the market. Western brands build kids’ boots the way they always have, as scaled-down adult boots. The brands that get growing feet right, with roomy toe boxes and flat, flexible soles, stop at sneakers and sandals. If someone out there makes a real cowboy boot shaped for a kid’s foot, we couldn’t find them.
So we decided to make it ourselves.
